What is a Memory Disco?

A Memory Disco is a multi-sensory musical experience specifically designed for the needs of dementia care
and consists of two components: Day By Day Project’s Musical Engagement Program and Quiet Event’s
Silent Disco Technology.

Musical Engagement Program

About The Program:

Combines numerous well-researched strategies for improving mood, cognition, & behavior into a single music-based activity
Designed with the help of leading neurologists in dementia care

Silent Disco Technology

A silent disco is an experience where an unlimited amount of headphones are connected to one transmitter,
allowing each participant to listen to the same music at the same time..

Using silent disco technology helps us overcome 3 main hurdles to maximizing music engagement:

What does the Memory Disco Package include?

Equipment

We provide Headphones, a transmitter,
maracas, an Activity Guide Binder, and
portable packaging.

In order to meet your personal or facility caretaking needs, we offer different sizes of Memory Disco Packages. These sizes vary
with the amount of headphones and maracas we offer.

Personalized Implementation Session

In this live virtual session, the Day By Day Project team will train care partners on how to use the
techniques from our Musical Engagement Program. We personalize training to maximize its power
in daily routines.
